@ Styx
Thanks for the link, I'll be over shortly to say hi. And don't sweat too much about the colors, they're difficult but practice makes perfect. It you'd like I can link you to some color theory tutorials on DA I've found helpful in the past. Smile Or is it more of a technique thing? (I've found some pretty neat tutorials for both colored pencils and markers if that's the case)

@XiaoCaity
No problem, no rush here! I know of it but haven't gotten to play it yet. >_< I really liked the aesthetic and basic themes of the game, and the music is divine.

I'm not sure what it is really but having both links would be great anyway. Smile Gives me the chance to learn twice as much.

So I'm just going to sneak in a sketch I've started today in here. I'm torn between sticking to just shading or attempting color. Any opinions?

I like it thus far!

Hmm... for color are we talking traditional or digital media? Because if the option is digital you should definitely try shading it first and then coloring it.

Hmm, I wasn't sure which way I wanted go if I coloured it. I was thinking it might be worth leaving as a shaded piece, but seeing how it looks in colour can't hurt I suppose. XD
Maybe I'll try traditional then an attempt at digtal. It's usually digital where I get hit and miss, but if I colour it traditionally I might have a better idea of what I want to do.

Eee! Jen as Princess Peach! What a fun idea. Grin

And she's looking cool, too. You've done a nice job on the costume. Thank you!

Heh, I've always liked those background objects (bushes? hills?) with eyes. They're equal parts disconcerting and cute. XD
