Hi! Two questions:
1: How exactly do you make comic frame boxes?
2: How do you make speech bubbles?
I'm about to launch Part 2 of the Totally Not-Canon Adventures of Flairé, this time from my computer. I have Photoshop Elements 7, and these are probably simple things but I can't seem to figure it out. I found a speech bubble tool but it is more like a rubber stamp. Very boring.

Oh dear. I've been drinking rum and coke for the last two hours and just... wow. This is exactly the right time for me to stumble across this post. Usually I am just way too cool to help out poppin fresh new cartoonists but what the hey now!!
I threw together a couple of tutorials a few years ago. You might find them useful. Good luck.

Yes! Those tutorials are fabulous and answer my questions exactly - except I don't have the pen tool and have no monies to buy it. (headdesk)
Well, well, I'll see what I can do with the shape tool - I'm sure it's possible.
Messed around a bit, and I think I have something that works pretty good - it's just slow at the moment.
If you see the visual structure (or whatever it's called) of my webcomics improve drastically in a couple of weeks (I have a small buffer), you'll know why.
Thanks so much for your help!! I really appreciate it! _________________ The rain, it raineth every day
