Seriously, G. Your hair is green. You shouldn't turn down anyone willing to overlook that. Especially not such an accomplished artificer of alliteration! Monocle

I... I think I'm actually starting to like the poltroon. I really want to see these two on a road trip. It would be the feel-good-movie of the summer!

He looks like he's trying to run away by the last panel, doesn't he know running never works? It just draws the help-offering swashbuckling sorcerers.

Happy 200th page btw! Whoo!

You spend goodness knows how long trying to find allies for your epic quest, and now that you have a volunteer you're turning them down? Beggars can't be choosers, mysterious green-haired stranger! Sure, this one has his share of flaws...but there's tons of roles for such a eager young hero! Like...

Pack Mule!
Sniveling Toadie!
Convenient Distraction!
Handy Scapegoat!

And, last but not least, the most desired of all positions...

Human Shield!

Seriously, you'd be crazy to pass this guy up. And, hey he can use fire magic. Think of the money you'd save on matches.

I agree, I'm starting to like Higgins, if only for his hilarious dorkiness and surprisingly willingness to do the honorable thing for being saved. (Although I suppose he's at least partly motivated by the whole humiliation factor if he returned to school like that.)

As for what to do for the 200th page celebration (CONGRATULATIONS!), I'm totally cool with the Art COntest idea! It sounds fun!

I see the beginnings of a truly epic quest. I wonder if they'll pick up more friends and party members along the way?

Is it bad I more interested in Mr. Green Hair's side story than the main chars right now? XD

YES. Every adventuring party needs one of those.
Although Higgins may need to toughen up before he can properly slow down a sword.

This looks like a job for chain mail pantaloons.

Not at all. XD The side plots are meant to be fun breaks, so I'm glad this one worked out.

Also, thanks for the congrats, guys! Less Than Three

If an art contest sounds good... What kind of prizes do you think would make it appealing?

Guest role in an upcoming comic.
Winner sends you a photo of themselves, you draw them as a background character. Maybe a pit fighter, or an unidentified guard, a noble in the audience... I'd imagine there's lots of places you could put a new face.

Maybe a J16 style sketch?
