Congrats on the new job! Welcome (back?) to the work force.
It's good that you were not down too long with your pursuit of a new job. |

It's work... Not many people do enjoyable work. Otherwise it wouldn't be work?
Well, that is what I tell myself, anyways. |

To be honest, it's not that bad. Stressful as any new job, yes; but the people are pretty cool there.
Kind of got thrown in the deepend on this one, as the previous IT guys: walked out, got fired, and quit due to a 90+ minute commute, which leaves me and one other person there and she was hired 3 days before me...
I'd have liked more then a week of training on the system and common problems and tools, but I'll do my best with what I've got.
Right now, I feel like a mouse in a bucket of cream. I'm just trying to be the second one.

Ah, new job anxieties. Those are the worst as you always have that constant feeling looming over you that you have to be "great" to not be bumped off at the beginning while in that trial stage.
Not to mention that it sucks being at the bottom of the totem pole.. Hell, after 12 years at my current job I'm still kind of at the bottom of the totem pole.
I know what you mean about just being thrown into something to try and figure it out. I get that at work when we have new projects rolling out to just go out and do them. |
