Well and good.
Incidentally, I'm much easier to reach through my deviantArt accunt than through this forum. I've always been a very casual reader of True Magic, so the main reason I've even checked the forum once or twice a month was to see if there was anything Paragon-related needing my attention. _________________ http://creepybob.deviantart.com (Warning: Contains Horrors) |

The THOIR that was back in the heyday of Spells and Whistles was one hell of a place. I lurked there for years before I finally got up the nerve to join in (my first forumite experience some time prior to finding S&W had ended ...badly). Yet, once I signed up and became a hoe, THOIR was already on its last legs, starting to poop the bed (yes, I still use that expression).
And now, ever since we migrated to Homeville, most of the former hoes seem to have crawled into the vents and died. Very few familiar "faces" left, and you know, it's just not too much fun no more. I miss Babs...
True Magic is an awesome comic, but it's far from my usual weirdo cup of tea. Hell, the reason I still do the occasional archive binge despite this fact is testament to how good it is. But, still...
The House of Ill Repute was something special, and I regret missing the opportunity to be part of it while it lasted. I'm actually getting a little misty-eyed here, which is a strange reaction to have to the memory of an intarweb forum, but there ya go. _________________ http://creepybob.deviantart.com (Warning: Contains Horrors) |

Yes, I do, miss the original ThoIR that. It does seem that the members have long split. Such as Cranky, Babs, FunkRobot, Spud, Skittles, to name a few.
Last I talk to Babs was last summer on my forum where she had just launched her own buisness. She probably got busy doing that, I would assume.
Cranky, I haven't seen see Thoir finally closed and he stopped in here. The rest, I don't even know when I lost saw them. |

A decent percentage of active posters here were active on THoIR.
And damn, guess who accidently let his forum open and closed it before I could register.
May be it's a good thing ... a divine sign ... I should finish this project I'm on first, then run around the internet in my underwear. _________________ Use your powers for gazpacho.

Those were good days. But these are good days too, so I'm not concerned. However, it appears that forums aren't as popular as they once were. Like Twitter is so wonderful? _________________ http://alienlife.thecomicseries.com/

Yea, forums are losing steam these days because of twitter, and facebook. They are also saying that email is losing steam as well because of twitter.. I don't really see a need for twitter.. my life is not that fascination that i need to update everyone ever 10 mins.
I still like forums as you don't have to visit all the time and can easily catch up if need to. |
